Solution Architect

Solution Architects are strong presenters and facilitators, obtaining customer acceptance by understanding and delivering the right strategic vision, and driving the difficult conversations necessary to execute business strategies. They are proficient at analyzing issues and obstacles to determine root cause(s), weighing options, choosing appropriate courses of action, and measuring and revising strategies based on results. They interact with both technical and functional customers to understand requirements, analyze information, and design comprehensive solutions. They also show a strong understanding of typical business challenges faced by customers and common objectives. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in designing enterprise data pipelines using our client company's preferred technologies 

  • Work hand-in-hand with Sales and Delivery to communicate the value of our client company's services and preferred technologies building a robust understanding of clients' needs while providing a vision of a solution, the risks & benefits as well as estimates of the work 

  • Own technical solution design from proof-of-concept to final delivery collaborating with engineering to implement the design to satisfy client needs 

  • Own subject matter expertise of a subset of our client company's preferred technologies and our client company services 

  • Provide direct mentorship, technical support, and feedback to enable engineers to deploy effective data solutions 

  • Track industry trends recommending new vendors, partners, and solutions while providing thought leadership to the internal our client company team as well as the Data industry at large 

  • Foster internal alignment on architectural best practices informed by client experience and industry trends 

  • Contribute to the growth of the Delivery practice by identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice, serving as an active contributor to the knowledge base and training program 

  • Be a great teammate, providing mentorship and leadership as opportunities arise, chip in where needed to provide clients with a great experience 

  • Set aside time for self-development by attending training or self-learning on key subjects 

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

 Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree 

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably data engineering and consulting experience in positions of increasing responsibility 

  • Experience working with a distributed team 

  • Proven results leading customer and/or partner success stories 

  • Relevant certifications and consulting experience are strongly recommended 

  • Travel may be required and varies depending on the client's requirements
